Land Of This Guy

I usually have to submit these cartoons to the paper on a Friday and the cartoon won’t see print until the following Wednesday, therefore, it is hard to tell what will be considered a current event or topic that many days into the future. When I did this one, we were just getting over a round of rain-caused floods, but it seemed clear for many days and I worried it may not seem relevant by the time it was seen. Of course, then the rains started again, and the worst flooding hit just as this issue came out. So, despite all the devastation, I guess every cloud has a silver lining?
