This phenomenon (cars/vehicles running right into buildings/homes/businesses) occurs with such frequency around here (and elsewhere probably, but I have to stick to local) that it seems there should be a guy who cleans them all up. Notice how I was careful not to assign this type of driver a specific age or gender, other than implying it was the very elderly or the very young for different reasons, even though I wanted to call it “#86, Clara, the old lady who can’t tell the gas from the brake” but didn’t want to put up with the fallout from stereotyping a factually accurate segment of society.

Also, two days after the cartoon came out in print, this happened. No comment.
